大家印象中的主角通常是著用 OMEGA

廣告商贊助大筆資金投資電影拍攝

當然電影中會不斷的出現該品牌產品

近期上檔的變型金剛3就是最好的例子

不只看到 Mercedes SLS AMG 

連價錢都報出來給你知道

但回溯到置入性行銷未開發的年代

為什麼 James Bond 會選擇著用 ROLEX 呢?

ROLEX 與 James Bond 為何有著那麼深的淵源?

首先

需要提及的是一位重要人物

Ian Fleming



英國記者和作家

也就是小說 James Bond 的作者

Fleming 本身也是 ROLEX 的愛好者

著用的款式是 EXPLORER ref. 1016



實際上 Fleming 從未正面回應相關問題

但網路上有著許多文獻

Sean Connery 在電影 Dr. No 中著用 Submariner in

George Lazenby 在電影On Her Majesty’s Secret Servicpre 中著用 pre-Daytona chronograph 

絕對其來有致

On Her Majesty’s Secret Servicpre 小說第十六章

當 James Bond 準備將手中的 ROLEX 當成手指虎來使用

Fleming 在小說中這樣寫到 :

"He softly retrieved his gloves from the bathroom, put on the goggles so that they rested in his hair above the forehead, tied the dark-red handkerchief tightly across his nose, schnapps into hip pocket and, finally, Gillette through the fingers of the left hand and the Rolex transferred to his right, the bracelet clasped in the palm of his hand and round the fingers so that the face of the watch lay across his middle knuckles.” 

除了品牌外並未提到是何錶款

因此電影拍攝時製作人只好自行選擇 ROLEX 某款手錶

Fleming 會在小說中特別說到 ROLEX

James Bond 的小說是一個傳奇故事

James Bond 是一位傳奇人物

電影要拍攝時必須要精美包裝這個角色

該穿甚麼 該喝甚麼 甚至錶該戴哪各品牌都需要注意

書中說 :

"Bond would not just drink champagne, it would be Dom Perignon, and he could not just wear a watch, it needed to be a Rolex."

因此電影預算不夠時

導演 Cubby Broccoli 把自己的愛錶捐出來完成電影定裝的工作

可以想見 ROLEX 在當時所擁有的魅力

而在長壽 007 主角 Sean Connery  風靡全球的年代

至少有四款不同 Submariner 曾經在電影中出現過

就算 Sean Connery 已經年老

已不是當初帥氣的 James Bond

依然著用 ROLEX



最後還有一則傳聞

看到時都不免肅然起敬

在二戰期間 ROLEX 讓被監禁的戰俘可以買到 ROLEX 時計

並透過紅十字會將時計直接寄送到戰俘營中
